Wanted criminal arrested

LAKKI MARWAT: Police arrested a wanted criminal and seized explosives and weapons from him during a surprise raid in Mela Mandrakhel village on Thursday. An official said that a police party headed by SHO Lakki Salim Khan raided a house in the village and succeeded to capture a proclaimed offender identified as Imtiaz. "The surprise raid was carried out when DPO Abdul Rashid Khan was informed about the presence of outlaws in his house," he said. He said that the arrested criminal Imtiaz was at large since Sep 2010 after murdering prominent social activist Dr Meer Abbas Khan near Ummar Adda. "He is also wanted by police in two other cases of attempted murder and for possessing illegal weapons," an official maintained. "Police recovered two hand grenades, an AK 47 assault rifle and bullets from him," he added.Ghulam Mursalin Marwat
