PESHAWAR (APP): Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Yasin Khalil Thursday paid surprise visit to District Transport Office, Peshawar and Peshawar Bus Terminal, G.T. Road and inspected several offices and terminals. The advisor to chief minister also visited different parts of the District Transport Office and got briefing on different matters relating to the office.
During the visit, he was given detailed briefing on procedure of the issuance of driving licenses and was told that about 300 tokens are deposited on daily basis and about 100 driving licenses are issued in one day.
During visit to bus terminal, he also visited Peshawar-Bajaur Terminal. Talking to on the occasion, he said that no such illegal facility will be accepted in any circumstances. He directed the issuance of warning to the owners and the cancellation of their permits to expel them.
He also took notice of the complaints regarding bus hawkers and issued directives to the administration of the terminal in this regard. He further directed increase in security staff and bringing improvement in the already available facilities in the waiting rooms of commuters.
