In order to promote a systematic exploration and development of mineral resources of the Province by involving private sector investment, the Minerals Development Department has been focusing to formulate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mineral Policy for basing strategies leading to conducive and investment-friendly regulatory frame work for grant of mining concessions. 4. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mansoor Khan A renown professor (Rtd) from Mining Department, University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar
5. Dr. Fuzail Siddiqui Independent Consulting Geoscientist, A renown professional Geologist with 35 years experience of mineral exploration mining and mineral processing in Africa & Canada
6. Mr. Farooq Zaman Shah An experienced Businessman dealing in Mining Industry and expert in mineral processing
7. Muhammad Adeel Butt Advocate Peshawar High court / legal expert
8. Mian Waheed-ud-din Secretary, Minerals Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa The Working Group constituted for formulation of strategy and reforms in Mineral Sector of the Province has convened its first meeting on 09.09.2013. Sub-working groups were constituted on specific tasks. Accordingly, the strategy formulation is in progress.
